Dr Teresa Lappe-Osthege

Postdoctoral Research Associate
t.lappe-osthege@sheffield.ac.uk

Teresa works as Postdoctoral Research Associate on the Beastly Business Project, which she co-designed with other team members. She leads a project that examines the links between corporate businesses and green-collar crime in the illegal songbird trade in Europe, focusing on Cyprus and Italy.

This project is a natural continuation from her previous research on the ERC-funded BIOSEC project where Teresa investigated consumption and supply patterns surrounding the illegal bird trade from the Western Balkans into the EU.

Her research is informed by political ecology and green political economy; she is particularly interested in exploring environmental politics and questions of (un)sustainability in post-conflict contexts, having completed her PhD on socio-ecological injustices and inequalities in EU peace-building in Kosovo.

Please see Teresa’s full staff profile or Twitter for more information on her work.
