Professor Rosaleen Duffy and our project manager, Dominique Thompson both had the opportunity to attend this year’s annual symposium held by Sheffield Animal Studies Research Centre (ShARC). ShARC is an interdisciplinary centre for research which considers nonhuman animals and human–animal relations.
The symposium took place in person at the University of Sheffield, and featured a number of really engaging talks including those from keynote speakers Dr Eva Haifa Giraud (University of Sheffield) and Dr Catherine Oliver (Lancaster University).
The talks ranged from examining human-animal interactions and relationships to human-centric approaches to research.
